Contract of Employment
Knowing just where you stand
For a placement to work successfully, it is vital both parties understand exactly what is required of them. At CLICK nannies, we therefore firmly recommend that as soon as your offer of employment has been accepted by a candidate, you commit its terms to a formal, written Contract of Employment.
There are two good reasons for this:
- The contract ensures there can be no argument in the future about what was agreed verbally. If, subsequently, both you and your nanny agree a variation of the original terms of employment, written amendments can always be issued recording the changes.
- Employees are entitled to a written statement setting out the principal terms of their employment within two months of their employment commencing.
